  • In 2023 we are open every day from Saturday, November 25 through Thursday, December 21, from 9 AM until 4:00 PM. The tree lot is not lit and we must close by dusk, so the last entry at is 3:30 PM. We do not open outside of these dates/hours for any reason. It is less busy on weekdays than on weekends.

  • We ask that you check in at the log cabin, which is 2.5 kms from the Alf & Jeans Upick sign at the end of Caldwell Road (follow the arrows). You can pick up a saw and a measuring stick at the cabin if needed. You then walk or drive into the Upick to cut your tree. Once you have cut your chosen tree, bring it back to the cabin where we will measure it and take payment (Cash Only).

  • We accept cash only. The nearest bank machine is at the Esso in Milford at the bottom of Hwy 14 near Exit 9 off Hwy 102. There are also several ATM’s in Elmsdale at exit 8 off of Hwy 102.

  • We do not allow tree reservations or pre-selections of any kind. We have approximately 140,000 trees over 95 acres, so we are sure you will find the perfect tree on the day you come during our regular business hours.

  • Please bring a saw or chainsaw if you have one. We do have folding hand saws available to borrow for those who need it. You should bring a rope or something to secure your tree to your vehicle. We provide 8’ long measuring sticks. We recommend you not only measure the height but also the width of the space you are putting your tree. You may also wish to bring a thermos of hot chocolate or cider to warm you up, and help get into the Christmas spirit :)

  • Due to ever-changing weather conditions we suggest you dress in warm layers and wear appropriate footwear for snow and/or light mud. You may want to bring work gloves to protect your hands.

  • We have an outhouse on site, but no running water for hand washing. Hand sanitizer will be available.

  • For insurance and liability purposes we do not allow photographers to use our tree lot as a photo session location or for mini-sessions, at any time of the year. If you would like to bring a camera with you while you visit our tree lot to purchase a tree, you are allowed to do so. However, taking photos must not interfere with other customers and their families.

  • Yes, we do have a baler and offer complimentary baling.

  • Our tree lot is over 95 acres, with approximately 140,000 trees.

  • Yes, a fresh tree is good for the environment and has less environmental impact than an artificial tree. Read more here.
